Delete Your Account
This page explains how to ask us to delete your Komuvo account and the personal information held about you, what is removed, and what we are required to keep.
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. How to request deletion
Komuvo accounts are created for you by your estate administrator, so there is no self-service delete button in the app. To have your account removed, send us a request and we will verify it with your estate before acting.
- Email privacy@getkomuvo.com with the subject "Delete my Komuvo account".
- Send it from the email address registered on your Komuvo account. This is how we confirm the request is genuinely yours.
- Include your full name, your estate name, and your plot or unit number so we can find the right record.
- We acknowledge the request within 3 business days and confirm once deletion is complete.
You can also ask your estate administrator to raise the request on your behalf. If you can no longer access your registered email address, contact your estate administration first so they can confirm your identity to us.
2. What is deleted
When we action a request, the following are deleted or irreversibly anonymised:
- Your sign-in credentials and authentication records, so the account can no longer be used.
- Your profile details, including name, email address, phone number, and emergency contacts.
- Your residence details, including plot or unit, block, and meter identifiers linked to you.
- Visitor passes you created and the visitor contact details you supplied.
- Maintenance requests and incident reports you submitted.
- Items and business listings you posted, and any photographs attached to them.
- Messages you sent to other residents through the app.
- Your notification preferences and registered devices.
3. What we keep, and why
Some records cannot be deleted on request, because we are required to keep them or because deleting them would break records that belong to someone else. We keep only what is necessary:
- Financial and transaction records — payments, estate dues, wallet movements and their provider references. These are retained to meet accounting, tax and anti-fraud obligations, and so that an estate's accounts continue to reconcile. They are separated from your profile where possible.
- Security and audit logs — a record that an action occurred, retained to investigate incidents and to meet our security obligations.
- Records the estate must keep — for example gate access history, which forms part of the estate's own security record.
Retained records are kept for no longer than the applicable legal or contractual period, and are then deleted in the ordinary course.
4. How long it takes
We complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Backup copies are removed on our normal backup rotation, which may take up to a further 90 days. During that period backups are not used to restore deleted accounts except to recover from a system failure.
5. Your estate's role
Your estate decides why your resident information is processed and acts as the data controller for it. Scalefort Technologies processes it through Komuvo on the estate's behalf. We will therefore confirm a deletion request with your estate before acting on it, and where the estate must retain a record for its own security or financial purposes we will tell you what has been kept and why. This is explained further in our Privacy Policy.
